6/5: After the Sniff & Go, the real learning begins. Join Daphne Melillo, NACSW CO and experienced competitor, for a focused follow-up session designed to debrief, diagnose, and develop your next steps. This working seminar will break down what happened on your runs—what went right, where communication broke down, and how to adjust your handling and training moving forward. Through guided discussion, problem-solving, and targeted exercises, teams will leave with clearer strategies, stronger awareness, and a plan to turn trial experience into meaningful progress.
Levels NW1-ELT/Novice-Detective are welcome to join. Hide odor strength will be at the NACSW concentration. You are welcome to run at any level. Dogs must be on odor. You can run more than one dog, some previous hides may be used. The areas/ elements that will be tested are. Interior, Exterior, Containers (ORT boxes), and vehicles.... This 1 hour seminar discusses easy ways to keep our super seniors healthy and active, Dr. Somjen will discuss and demonstrate some of the commonly used exercises she recommends for her senior patients. Dr. Somjen will discuss how these exercises are easily modified for all levels of dogs and how they can be incorporated into your daily life.
In this 1 hour seminar, Dr. Somjen will discuss the five foundational exercises she teaches to all of her sport and physical rehabilitation dogs, and how they form the foundation of her program. Dr. Somjen will discuss the importance of these exercises as well as how they can be progressed.
